As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in health and social care, Gold Cross Care Limited follows a strict policy of employing all staff under ‘The Safer Recruitment process’, which is applied to all our services.
To ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, we conduct thorough background checks during the recruitment process. This includes obtaining a full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and conducting comprehensive reference checks for all employees and self-employed workers.
Our Family Support Workers are highly qualified and educated, holding at least an NVQ level 3 qualification(or working towards it), with many possessing degree-level qualifications in relevant fields. We understand the critical role that staffing plays in providing holistic support to vulnerable groups, and as a result, we emphasize ongoing training for our workers. To ensure their skills are continually enhanced, our staff receive training in various areas. At a minimum, staff allocated to families undergo training in the following areas: Safeguarding Children Advanced, GDPR Awareness, Autism Awareness, Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness, Challenging Behaviour Awareness, Communication and Record Keeping, Equality and Diversity, and
Emergency First Aid Awareness.
By adhering to these stringent recruitment and training processes, Gold Cross Care Limited ensures that our clients are in safe hands, receiving the highest quality of support and care from our dedicated and qualified team.
